Who can participate?
The program is offered to Glastonbury students entering grades 2–5 who would like to strengthen their foundation in Spanish. This program provides Spanish language instruction as well as reinforcement through language enrichment activities. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. The class limit is 15.
The cost is $175 for Glastonbury students and $150 for out of district students. This fee covers the cost of program supplies. Scholarship funds are available for those who are able to demonstrate need. See application instructions to the right. Registration is open to out of town residents after May 15th.
Note: Refunds will not be issued after June 1, 2020.
Transportation is the responsibility of the participant. Students are to not to be dropped off before 8:55 am and should be picked up promptly at 12:00 pm.
Student behavioral expectations are the same as during the regular school year. All school rules apply. Students are asked to bring their own nut-free snacks to camp.
There is an expectation that students attend all sessions. We understand that this program is an extensive commitment. Families may have made prior summer plans. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak with your Spanish teacher or contact Rita A. Oleksak, the Director of Foreign Languages / English Language Learning.
This program is available as an add-on to the elementary Spanish program. The program runs from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm. The price of this program is $250 and lunch is not provided. Students participating in this program will extend their classroom lessons through culturally appropriate crafts, stories and activities.
