We are back! We are excited to host our 2024 summer programs in person. As part of a new national STARTALK model, all programs will be required to offer a pre- and post- summer program component.
We are excited about our 2024 STARTALK Summer Programs which will implement this new format (same as 2023). It will include a pre-program in the late spring of 2024, the summer camp experience (June 24 - July 12), and a post-program for students throughout the 2024-2025 school year. When applying for this new format of the STARTALK program, participants are committing to the pre- and post- program activities in addition to the summer camp experience.
STARTALK programs will follow the Glastonbury Public Schools' COVID Protocols, as they apply at the time. Please check the District Website for updates.
An intensive year-long Russian program with a three-week non-residential summer program that will allow beginning and intermediate students of Russian to develop both speaking and writing abilities as well as the understanding of Russian culture. The program will include classroom instruction, as well as cultural field trips. In addition to the summer experience, students enrolling in the program will be required to participate in both a pre-program (held on weekends in late spring) and a post-program (held on weekends throughout the 2024-2025 academic year). This program is sponsored by Glastonbury Public Schools in collaboration with STARTALK.
Rising 3rd–6th grade students who are highly motivated and enthusiastic to learn Russian in an intensive program. This is a non-residential program for students who live in the Glastonbury area. If you have a child who is interested in establishing a foundation in Russian, please sign up. Enrollment is limited to 12 students on a first-come, first-serve basis. Because of the intensive nature of the program, students are expected to attend all sessions. The camp is partially funded through a federal grant and requires a full program commitment to the program.
