Glastonbury Public Schools will be providing an expanded elementary summer program in order to support learning in Spanish. Participation is open to students going into grades K-5 in the fall of 2023. The program will be offered to students in grades K-1, 2-3 and 4-5. Each program has been designed to provide explicit instruction and guided practice in listening to and speaking Spanish with grade level content to provide additional support and keep the excitement of learning Spanish alive.
The cost of the program is $25 and is open to Glastonbury Public Schools students. This fee covers the cost of the instructor. Scholarship funds are available for those who demonstrate need.
Note: Refunds will not be issued after June 1, 2023.
The Let’s Talk: Spanish Entering grades K-1 program will take place on Zoom from June 27th - July 13th, (6/27, 6/29, 7/6, 7/11, 7/13) from 8:30-8:55 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Let’s Talk: Spanish Entering grades 2-3 program will take place on Zoom from June 27th - July 13th, (6/27, 6/29, 7/6, 7/11, 7/13)from 9:00-9:25 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Let’s Talk: Spanish Entering grades 4-5 program will take place on Zoom from June 27th - July 13th, (6/27, 6/29, 7/6, 7/11, 7/13) from 9:30-9:55 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Student behavioral expectations are the same as during the regular school year. Please follow proper Zoom etiquette.
