Study Spanish

Study Spanish & Earn the Seal of Biliteracy

The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by the Glastonbury Public Schools in recognition of students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. The Seal of Biliteracy takes the form of a gold seal that appears on the diploma of the graduating senior and is a statement of accomplishment for future employers and for college admissions.

Students choosing to study Spanish will have the opportunity to meet the requirements for the Seal of Biliteracy by the time they graduate from Glastonbury High School.

The program is designed for students interested in learning the basics of the Spanish language, for those students who have not participated in the Glastonbury Public Schools' elementary Spanish program, as part of the regular school year curriculum.
