For students entering grades 3–6
In-person summer camps will follow the Glastonbury Public Schools' COVID Protocols, as they apply at the time. Please check the District Website for updates.
The program is offered to Glastonbury students entering grades 3-6. This program provides French language instruction while building a foundation through language enrichment activities. This camp is offered in preparation for students who may enter the French program in 6th grade. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. The class limit is 12.
The cost is $200 for Glastonbury students and $225 for out of district students. This fee covers the cost of program supplies. Scholarship funds are available for those who demonstrate need. See application instructions below. Registration is open to out of town residents after May 15th.
Note: Refunds will not be issued after June 1, 2024.
Transportation is the responsibility of the participant. Students are to be picked up promptly at noon.
June 24 - July 12 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is no class July 4th or 5th. Students are to not to be dropped off before 8:55 am and should be picked up promptly at 12:00 pm.
Student behavioral expectations are the same as during the regular school year. All school rules apply. Students are asked to bring their own nut-free snack to camp.
There is an expectation that students attend all sessions. We understand that this program is an extensive commitment. Families may have made prior summer plans. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak with your current Spanish teacher or contact Amanda Robustelli-Price, the Director of World Languages / Multilingual Learning.
This program is available as an add-on to the elementary French program. The program runs from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm. The price of this program is $250 and lunch is not provided. Students participating in this program will extend their classroom lessons through culturally appropriate crafts, stories and activities.
